Ribs With Mixed Berry BBQ Sauce Recipe

Pork ribs slathered in a sweet-savory BBQ sauce and cooked until they're perfectly tender and ready to gnaw off the bone.

  • Preheat your oven to 250 F.
  • Season the ribs with garlic powder, paprika, sea salt, and ground black pepper to taste.
    1 tbsp. garlic powder, 2 tbsp. paprika, Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, 5 lb. baby back ribs
  • Place the ribs on one or two baking dishes, making sure not to overcrowd them.
  • Cover the baking dishes with foil, and place them in the preheated oven.
  • Bake in the oven for 2 ½ hours to 3 hours.
  • While the ribs are cooking, melt some cooking fat in a saucepan.

  • Add the onion and garlic to the saucepan and cook until soft.

  • Add all the remaining ingredients and cook, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes.
    2 cups fresh or frozen mixed berries, 1 cup homemade ketchup, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, 2 tbsp. coconut aminos or worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp. Dijon mustard, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1 tbsp. chili powder, 2 tbsp. hot sauce, 2 tbsp. raw honey, Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • If you want a smoother texture, pulse the sauce using an immersion blender.
  • Remove the ribs from the oven and rub them with the BBQ sauce, making sure they are well covered.
  • Place on a preheated grill or back in the oven on broil, and cook for 5 to 8 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer the ribs to a cutting board, cut the racks between the bones, and serve.
