Cinnamon and Butter Baked or Fried Apples

Two simple recipes, baked apples and fried apples using butter and cinnamon to create a simple paleo dessert everyone will love. Serve hot with optional cream.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples tart apples are very good for this
  • 4 tablespoon grass-fed butter or ghee
  • 4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optionally a bit of fresh nutmeg

Instructions

Baked Apples

  • Preheat your oven to 350 F.
  • Core the apples making sure not to go all the way through and to leave the bottom on the apples.
    4 apples
  • Stuff 1 tablespoon of butter inside each apple.
    4 tablespoon grass-fed butter
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Bake for about 12 to 18 minutes until the apples are soft.
    Optionally
  • Serve and enjoy!

Fried Apples

  • Cut the apples in about ¼″ slices.
  • Put the butter in a hot pan and let it melt.
  • Once hot, add the apple slices making sure they don’t overlap, make multiple batches if necessary.
  • Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg, cover and let cook until soft.
  • Serve and enjoy!
