  • Melt some cooking fat on a skillet over high heat, and brown the cubed beef on all sides, about 1 minute per side.
    Cooking fat, 2 lb. boneless beef chuck
  • Place the browned beef in a slow cooker.
  • Top with all the remaining ingredients, and give everything a good stir.
    2 cups diced tomatoes, 1 onion, 2 celery stalks, 1 tbsp. chili powder, 1 cup beef stock, 2 tbsp. hot pepper sauce
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Adjust the seasoning and serve.
