Ingredients

  • 6 cups good quality assorted nuts pecans, almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and macadamia nuts are all great choices
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup pitted and chopped medjool dates
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  • Soak the nuts overnight in warm water and a tablespoon of salt;
    6 cups good quality assorted nuts
  • Drain the nuts and spread them evenly into a baking sheet.
  • Place in a 110 F oven for 10 to 12 hours to dehydrate. If your oven temperature doesn’t go that low, put it on its lowest temperature and keep the door ajar.
  • After the nuts have dehydrated for at least 10 hours, chop them roughly and place them in a bowl with the coconut, dates and raisins and mix well.
    1 cup shredded coconut, 1 cup pitted and chopped medjool dates, 1 cup raisins
  • Keep the prepared granola in an airtight container.
