Apple and Almond Butter bites

An apple with almond butter is a quick and convenient snack, but have you ever wanted something a little bit…more? Maybe you’re having a bad case of Instagram Envy and craving something that looks pretty as well as tasting good, or maybe it’s just time to switch up the flavors with a few extra mix-ins.

Here’s one answer: apple slices topped with a smear of almond butter, plus any other favorite toppings that you think will be delicious. It’s a little more elegant than the traditional chunky slices, and as a delicious bonus, it gives you more available surface area for covering with toppings. There aren’t any quantities given for the toppings; it’s all up to you and what you feel like trying out.

This is a great snack for kids, but there’s no age limit on delicious food, especially not when it’s also good for you. Play around with the toppings a little and see what you like – it’s a fun way to try something a little different with no real pressure to make it perfect and plenty of room to explore.

  • 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
  • Almond butter
  • Pecans, chopped
  • Almonds, sliced
  • Roasted coconut shreds
  • Dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • Dried cranberries
Almond butter bites preparation


  1. Spread the almond butter over one side of each apple slice.
  2. Top each apple slice with your choice and amount of toppings.
  3. Eat as a snack or quick breakfast.
