Combine sweet, flavorful herbs used in Italy with a traditional BBQ sauce for an herb-filled marinade and basting sauce. Luckily, you won't need a pre-made Italian seasoning spice blend because you probably have most of these seasonings on hand: parsley, basil, and oregano.
Between the time the chicken breasts spend marinating in the fridge and the time spent basting on the grill, these grill-marked chicken breasts transform into savory and delicious nibbles.
Skinless, boneless chicken breasts are more expensive than their thigh counterpart. But just like buying a steak or a pricey piece of fish, they can be worth the cost. The reason why chicken breasts are so expensive is that they don't have fat and are a tender cut, so they can be cooked quickly. On the other hand, bone-in cuts, whole chickens, or shoulders are less expensive but take longer to cook. The investment is the time.
Keep the Italian theme going by serving with a big salad with fresh tomatoes and olive oil. Or serve over spaghetti squash noodles and sauteed tomatoes!
