Without a doubt, drinking an appropriate amount of water each day is probably one of the better things you can do for your health.

    Citrus and Watermelon Flavored Water

Staying properly hydrated, which is determined completely by your individual needs and activity level – not a “standard” amount – is key for keeping up your daily energy levels, avoiding painful headaches and other physical problems, and helping keep your body running as efficiently as possible.

As you transition away from sweeteners in your diet, you’ll most likely come to love the taste of plain water. However, if you’re new to your Paleo journey or are just looking for a flavorful twist, home-prepared and naturally flavored water is a delicious option.

In this recipe, you’ll be combining some simple citrus ingredients, including limes, lemon, watermelon, and grapefruit, to blend with a cold pitcher of water and serve. This is a great refreshment to serve for large gatherings – just make sure to prepare a few hours in advance for a stronger citrus flavor.

It’s also a yummy option for homemade popsicles, especially when the weather is warmer – just prepare, pour into ice cube trays, add chunks of the fruit, and insert a popsicle stick. This is a much better treat than the sugary products you’ll find in most grocery stores.

We love the idea of pairing this beverage with a light lunch option, especially if you’re planning a simple weekend meal. To accomplish this, try this chicken, strawberry, avocado, and spinach salad – it’s yummy, uncomplicated, and quick to pull together.
