    Canned Salmon Salad

    The beauty of a canned salmon salad recipe lies in its simplicity; it's quick, it's easy, and it's open to personal touches. Salmon is an excellent source of high-quality protein, containing all nine essential amino acids the body needs for growth and maintenance. Adequate protein intake can benefit weight management and help prevent muscle loss.

    Enjoy the salad on its own as a light and satisfying meal. Turn the salad into a tasty sandwich by spreading it between two slices of your favorite Keto Bread or lettuce wraps. This way you have a convenient and substantial lunch.

    Ingredients

    Serves: 2 Prep Time: 15 minutes

    • 2 cans wild salmon
    • 2 cucumbers, diced
    • 1 onion, chopped
    • 1 large tomato, diced
    • 1 avocado, diced
    • 5-6 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    • Juice of 2 lemons
    • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh dill, optional
    • Lettuce leaves for serving

    How to Make Canned Salmon Salad

    Drain the liquid from the canned salmon, place the salmon in a bowl and mash well with a fork.

    Add the lemon juice and olive oil and mix well into the salmon.

    Add the cucumbers, onion, tomato and avocado and mix again.

    Add the dill, if using, season with salt and pepper and serve the cold salad over lettuce leaves.
