    Pork chops might be one of our favorite things to prepare – these simple and inexpensive cuts are extremely easy to work with, making them perfect for less experienced grillers. For a beginner cook, this recipe is awesome – you’ll be working with just a handful of ingredients, marinating and grilling your pork, and serving!

    Grilled Garlic And Chive Pork Chops

    Don’t let the ease and low preparation time for this dish fool you, though – this is a delicious and filling meal, and it works perfectly for even the pickiest diner. You’ll also reap the nutritional benefits of pork, which is filled with things like healthy protein and Omega-3s, which are essential for a healthy diet.

    One of the ingredients that may not be as familiar is ghee, especially if you are fairly new to Paleo cooking. Ghee is essentially butter but with things like milk, protein and sugar removed.

    This makes it an awesome option for those who like the taste of butter and are used to using it in their cooking but are making the switch to omitting dairy from their diet. Ghee probably won’t be available in large, chain supermarkets – try specialty groceries or Indian food markets instead.

    Another option is to make ghee yourself – it really isn’t that hard or time-consuming, and you can make this in larger batches for future use.

    This pork chop dish has a simple flavor palette, making it a great option when you are creating a more complicated side dish that you’d like to feature. For this type of meal, try preparing this Dijon and pecan asparagus – it’s still fairly simple but adds a burst of flavor to your plate.

    Ingredients

    • 8 pork chops, boneless
    • 2 tbsp. dried chives
    • 1 tbsp. dried oregano
    • ½ tbsp. garlic flakes
    • ½ tbsp. onion flakes
    • ¼ cup ghee, melted
    • Green onions, sliced, for garnish
    • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

    Preparation

    1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
    2. Brush the pork chops with melted ghee on both sides.
    3. Season the pork chops with the dried chives, dried oregano, garlic, and onion; season to taste with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
    4. Grill the pork chops on the preheated grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side.
    5. Serve the pork chops topped with green onions.
