    Mint Sauce

This unassuming green delight has been a mainstay of culinary traditions and health regimens for centuries, with its versatility and nutritional punch deserving a spotlight in our culinary exploration. Mint sauce serves as an excellent vehicle to introduce health benefits into your diet without compromising on taste. It’s low in calories, high in flavor, and can enhance the nutritional profile of your meals.

Enjoy the zing in your Grilled Vegetables, the tanginess with marinated meats like a juicy Grilled Steak, and the refreshing twist in your favorite salads.

    Ingredients

Serves: 5 Prep Time: 5 minutes and 30 minutes

    • ¼ lb fresh mint, stems removed
    • 2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon sea salt

    How to Make Mint Sauce

Crush the mint leaves with a pestle in a mortar with the sea salt.

Leave for 30 minutes, by which time the salt will have extracted most of the water from the mint.

Add the vinegar and pound again with the pestle. Add more vinegar if a thinner sauce is desired.
