    Sweet Potato Chips

Once considered a rarity, sweet potato chips have seen a meteoric rise in popularity, especially among those seeking a healthy alternative to the traditional 'junk' chip. This surge is not without reason. With a natural sweetness and a satisfying crunch, sweet potato chips are a sensory pleasure. More impressively, they are chock full of nutrients that their pale, starchy counterparts can only dream of. They've garnered a cult following among the health-conscious, the paleo, and the clean-eating communities. But this is more than a food fad; it's a delicious revolution in snacking.

In terms of food pairings, sweet potato chips are exceptionally versatile. Pair them with a hearty Chicken Salad for added crunch, or serve them alongside a fresh, zesty Fire-Roasted Salsa or Guacamole for a match made in snack heaven.

    Ingredients

Serves: 4 Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes

    • 2 medium sweet potatoes, sliced  into â…›-inch thick slices
    • 1 tablespoon cooking fat, melted
    • ½ teaspoon sea salt
    • 1 lime, cut into wedges

How to Make Sweet Potato Chips

Preheat your oven to 400 F.

Coat the sweet potato slices with the melted cooking fat in a bowl and line them on two baking sheets, making sure the slices don’t touch.

Bake them in the preheated oven for 22 to 25 minutes, turning them once, until the edges are nice and crisp.

Remove the sweet potato chips from the oven and sprinkle them immediately with the sea salt.

Serve the chips with lime wedges.
